MUSIC TEACHER
PIANO

GOVERNING BODY POST – FROM JANUARY 2023 or MARCH 2023

The school is looking for a suitably qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our large and vibrant Music Department. Willingness to be involved in the school’s extramural programme is a pre-requisite.

THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE REQUIRED:

  • The ability to teach piano to Gr 8 Level
  • The ability to accompany advanced pupils
  • The ability to teach Music Theory and/or GMK

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE:

  • The ability to teach Classical and Jazz piano
  • The ability to train Marimbas
  • The ability to teach a second instrument
  • The ability to teach Gr 8 and 9 Creative Arts

VISUAL ARTS TEACHER

  Minimum Requirements:  Degree in Fine Art. A PGCE would be an advantage.

The following skills are required or recommended:
– The ability to teach Violin to Gr 8 level
– The ability to train the string quartet
– The ability to teach Music Theory and/or GMK
– The ability to do some accompanying would be an advantage
